MALEGHO Joseph ASEH

MALEGHO Joseph ASEH, a Magistrate of the 4th grade, was born on April 27, 1967, in Bamenda, Mezam Division, North-West Region.

After completing his primary education and obtaining the First School Leaving Certificate in 1980 at the Roman Catholic Mission (RCM) School in Bamunka, Ndop, he pursued his secondary education and obtained the General Certificate of Education Ordinary Level in 1986 at Sacred Heart College, Mankon, and later the General Certificate of Education Advanced Level in 1988 at the Government Bilingual High School, Mbengwi.

He then enrolled at the Faculty of Law and Economic Sciences of the University of Yaoundé, where he obtained a Bachelor’s Degree in Law in 1992. In 1997, he graduated from the National School of Administration and Magistracy (ENAM), Magistracy Division.

He began his professional career in 1998, serving as Deputy State Counsel at the Courts of Nkambe until 2001. From 2001 to 2005, he was Judge at the Courts of First Instance of Nkambe, and from 2005 to 2008, Judge at the Courts of First Instance of B

He served as State Counsel at the Courts of Menji from 2008 to 2010. On December 22, 2010, he was appointed Attaché to the Division of Judicial Affairs at the General Secretariat of the Presidency of the Republic, and later, in 2016, became Chairman of the Board of Directors of the National School of Administration and Magistracy (ENAM). On February 26, 2018, he was appointed the first Secretary-General of the Constitutional Council of Cameroon.

He is married and the father of four children.

He is a Knight of the National Order of Valour.
