ATANGANA Clément

President of the Conseil Constitutionnel

ATANGANA Clément, Magistrate of the First Group, retired from the Higher Hierarchy, was born on August 20, 1941, in Ekouméyek, Ngomedzap Subdivision, Nyong and So’o Department, Central Region. He is married and has eight children.

He completed his primary education at the Regional School of Yaoundé, where he obtained his Certificate of Primary and Elementary Studies (CEPE) in 1954. He then pursued secondary studies, obtaining the first part of the baccalaureate at François Xavier Vogt College in Mvolyé, Yaoundé, in 1962, and the second part of the baccalaureate, Experimental Sciences series, at Manengouba High School in Nkongsamba in 1964. He entered the Faculty of Law and Economic Sciences at the Federal University of Cameroon, where he earned a Bachelor’s degree in Private Law in 1967. He subsequently joined the National School of Administration and Magistracy (ENAM), Magistracy Section, and later the International Institute of Public Administration in Paris.
